Reversing nearly half a decade of falling home values, prices around Portland, Oregon increased 6.7% over the past year.
Portland handily beat the 5.5% average increase of the twenty US cities surveyed by Standard and Poor’s in their Case-Shiller Home Price Index. Values in all but one city, New York, increased. National home prices are now back to their Autumn, 2003 levels.
